HELP re Adobe Bridge and Photoshop
I have problems running Adobe Bridge. I have already installed Photoshop CS"2 from the CD and Bridge was included in the installation, I have run CS2 without any problems BUT when I click on Bridge I get the error as shown in the attachment. This has happened since installing the programme on Windows VISTA. It was working o.k. on my old computer, any help will be appreciated

Hi Rob, No other photoshop has ever been installed on this machine,I did install CS2 early part of March and then for some reason it stopped working, so I uninstalled it via the ininstall system of Photoshop it'self and then cleaned out the registry and over three days I must have installed and reinstalled it 3 or 4 times until eventually it popped up yesterday evening telling me my 30 days evaluation was up, which was strange because I had entered all the registration and authorisation codes that I had. CS2 itself is working without problem fingers crossed, but Bridge keeps throwing up this error
Thanks for your time

That error message seems to me to be saying that it doesn't recognize your installed and working copy of CS2, even though as you say CS2 worked fine. It may be that the installation of CS2 didn't quite work as it should have, or one of your system files for CS2 may be damaged. I (and others) had a similair problems when moving to CS3 if we used the Beta version. In that event we had to download a cleanup script to tidy up the cr#p, then reinstall. If you have a bona-fide copy of CS2 you COULD try uninstalling it, then manually deleting all CS2 and Bridge folders, then reinstal the products. Looking at it logically, if you had a clean (new) machine and installed from your disk, and followed any instructs correctly, then it should work. Before you do that though, you may wish to contact Adobe - they normally respond well to such requests. Let me know how you get on.

Hi Rob, I have installed and uninstalled CS2 on a number of occassions since the problem arose and each time I have cleaned up the registry to get rid of all the bits but no no avail, Still getting the same error code, I shall be downloading a copy of Adobe Reader later today, as that is a different product from Photoshop and maybe this is what they could be referring to in their error code. I will post back this evening with the result
