Default Fire Display

Photographers Comments
This was taken outside the Basilica of San Francesco dAssisi in Assisi. The fire eater appeared out of nowhere and everyone of us was entertained, before it started to rain.

Well done for being ready with your camera and capturing such a dramatic image on the spur of the moment. The apperture looks to be spot on with only a tiny amount of blur motion around the face area, but, the exposure for me is incredible, capturing just enough light to separate the man from the BG, adding even more dramatics to a great image. I would have liked to have seen the full flame in the picture, rather than leaving the frame, however under the circumstances this could be forgiven. I'll bet when it started to rain it dampened his 'spirits'.

I do like this, though I agree with Phil that it's a pity some of the flame is missing. Also I feel that there's a bit too much blank space at the bottom which does nothing for the image, maybe a slightly tighter crop would give more of an emphasis to the figure and flame. But very well captured
