only two things that i would pick up on from an otherwise great shot. the light i would prefer to come from in front of him, but thats out as he would have the sun in his eyes! and as there is no ball in the shot, it prob wouldnt make a newspaper desk..but the image is crystal clear and sharp and the colours are spot on.

Hi Len, a nice clean image here, as Andy said pity that the ball is missing (you could have cloned one in ). I bet you pressed that shutter button quite a few times before you got the image that you wanted.

Hi Len,
nice action shot, like the others I would have liked to see the
ball in the shot, but hey I know what sports photography is like.
Sports photography aint like most other types, if you take a
landscape shot and you dont like it you can keep going back over
& over again. With sports photography if you miss the shot it will
never come again, so I think you have done a good job for your
first go. Well done ;-)
