Mower Racing
Photographers Comments
I went to a Mower race on Saturday, not really knowing what to expect. But as it turned out it was a great day out, some of these mowers are capable of speeds in excess of 50mph with no suspension on bumpy hard ground, this resulted in plenty of spills. They race for 3 hours as a endurance type event with teams of riders. It is a very friendly group where it seems that they all help each other out and just race for the fun factor.

Nice shot Barry, but cant see any grass throwing out the back LOL. Caught the action well and the guy in front looking at inevitably being passed by the look of it. Used to race landrovers and the serious ones ALWAYS had the best crash helmets!!

Heath and Safety would have a field day here. And not all wearing helmets or protection on arms. And she was going very quickly until a wheel failed after about 45 minutes of racing.
