Another From Shelsley
Photographers Comments
Im messing about trying to convey the sense of speed again.
Actually picked a good day for this, because usually Id be shooting at around 1/500s to freeze the action but I have decided thats not artistic enough, but there wasnt enough light to do it my normal way anyway...
Im am glad the nose is sharp and the rear has some motion blur on it.
Im getting a much lower success rate this way, but when I get a good one I like it a lot more.

Hi Merv, Nice capture, however on my monitor there is a bad case of vignetting showing up on all corners, did you mean this? if so ignore me, if not it needs correcting in PS or whatever.
Know how hard this is, you have to use a long lens which increases the problems of shutter speeds e.t.c. In the bad old days of film, i took 3 x 36 rolls of film and only got about 20 photos with anything on them at all! Had about 3 keepers, mind you F1 is bloody quick!

I am learning all the time from some talented people. I really like this and the all the techie talk is starting to sink in and make sense. When I finally get to take a shot like this I will be ditching CS.
Great.

Yes Dennis lol,
I have recorded myself a vignette action this weekend, my first action yay! Also used the burn tool on the straight edges. I actually find this much more difficult than F1, but these cars are arriving at over 140MPH at a much closer range.
Cheers XP1, there is very little PP on this, but ditch CS? It's way too useful
Spoke to a couple of togs today hoping they may be PT members, they weren't but are going to check us out!

Cheers matey,
I think I've overdone it in 3 of the corners (at least), but I have something to go on, I have just thought of a couple of things to try and it will end up somewhere between the two.
You wouldn't like my fav from Yesterday! But there are so many togs there now, I am trying to build up something different and repeatable that will hopefully stand out...

Hi Merv ... think that you have captured the sense of speed ... just looking at the grass you can see it is blurred ... Nicely done ..
Cheers
