I agree with the above plus I think the numbers in the background could do with being cloned out. Otherwise a very nice piece of work.
Cheers.

Hi Pete,
both of the above points are very relevant to turn this into a great image. The front wings do appear to be floating, and I would have liked to have seen a little more detail in the front wheels so they did not bleed into the shadow areas so readily. Otherwise a cracking pic.

Hi Pete,
I guess you knew this was going to catch my eye.
I agree that the front wing and tyres are too dark, but I really like the falloff in the corners. I recon you could fix it easy with a curves adjustment on a new layer, then mask around the edge.
The whole picture has a really clean look to it which I like, and I dont mind the number on the floor, gives it a location.

Thanks all - really appreciate the comments.
I thought about removing the paddock numbers from the back of the shot, but decided that they were relevant to the story of the image.
I have printed this as an 8x8 and mounted it with a black mount, with an ivory 45 degree bevel, then framed in a brushed platinum
1" 1/2 frame. Mounted like this the front wing detail is visible, without reducing the vignet ...

Yes, it's often the case that a print looks better and sometimes it's worth printing one just to see.

Prefer this one mate. Agree with the above comments. I was posting some dark images a month or so ago bud and had to re-calibrate my monitor. If the darkness was unintentional then maybe this could be the cause.
