Looks a good action shot to me Pete, well done for your first go at action. Yet to test mine on anything faster than my grand kid! They do say (and i have only read it!) 1/500sec for action crossing either towards you or across your line of movement. maybe a bit faster would have been a bit sharper. Easy for me to say i know!! Good shot though all action.

Thanks Dennis, I was struggling a bit, in that they were passing me in 3 places & difficult to get a good setting for all. I was trying to shoot at f4, but as the light got darker & the heavens opened, I couldnt get enough light & didnt really want to uo the iso.. Well still lots to learn , but really enjoying trying
Pete

Like i said mate, full marks for the action image, perhaps you could tweak it a bit in Photoshop?? (or whatever you use). Anyway sometimes a bit of motion blur is associated with speed and isnt a bad thing! I think we get fixated with sharpness sometimes! Not that you would get any off me except for running for the pub!!

Great action shot Pete. I love the way the horse is leaning. It really give the feel of speed. Well captured. Art
