Default Prince Andrew

Prince Edward just paid a visit to my town, I managed to get quite close for a couple of shots, I think the security people thought I was a tog lol.
I have included a picture of a few of the press togs for you to see.
Crit if you like, but I didn't really have much time to think.
It was fun pretending to be a pap for an hour.

Last year when Zara Philips was eventing at Bramham, all the press turned up about 10 mins before she was be to set off around the cross country. Positioning themselves at the water in the hope of capturing her falling, they were all trebly disappointed when she came off just a few short yards away at the next fence, sadly over the brow of a hill ! ! ! What a funny butch of people to watch

Alistair

PS She was fine

Oh Cyclone!...You had quite a day!!!!...you must have been on adrenalin....especially like the composition of the last one...almost has a timeless feel to it.

This spring my bother was taking pictures of the pap outside the Marcos Museum, which was closed off to the public because Amelda was inside. He's still has no idea how it happened but the next thing he knew he was ushered inside and ended up having a one hour visit with Amelda, though abit one sided. Somehow she felt burdened to justify her life to him...a mere farm boy from Canada. Abit of trivia he left with was that NO, she did not have over 3,000 prs. of shoes...it was around 2,000....most of them, were gifts from different manufacturing companies

Good timing Merv! i have had the most amazing opportunities to photograph the major royals up close and personal over the last few years..
great Candids here. the best is the first and should be cropped in quite tight. looking at the press it seems Pro-Am Dslr's are the talk of the day rather than full blown top end..

Cheers for looking guys.
Andy, I don't know what the 2 paps on the floor were using maybe you can tell, the guy in the suit seemed to be with the royal party and was using a D200 with battery grip. There were others obviously, I did see a D2X floating about with probably the first pap to leave and get his pictures sent off.

Another showing security measures:-

Guy in red looks to have a D2x. looks a full bodied camera. D200 is obvious and the guy with blue hood looks to have a non pro canon, maybe a 40D or 5D with grip..all good cameras considering the will prob not be greater than 10x8 or most likely smalls in the papers
