Excellent idea and coding. Well done to Paul and Mello. DOn't think I've come across this before, and its just what I'm needing at the moment, since I seem to have got myself in a rut with my photography. Can't wait to give this a go!
Again, NICE ONE LADS!!!!!!

Help!!!
I uploaded the wrong photo to my first personal project ...... tried to edit it ... didn't work so I deleted it ... and now I can't seem to resubmit the one I wanted ......
What do I do to fix this?? Or is it just not possible ... frustrating cos I don't have any more time at the moment to play with my camera, etc ... even the time I've just taken has been 'stolen' :-(

Hi Lenita, thanks for making me aware of this..... this is one of the reason why something like our new system is released as a beta to start with to gain this sort of feedback.
When new features are released to members, there will always be something that can be improved upon and in this case you have made me aware of a need for new button to remove the image if it has been uploaded by mistake before reaching the AutoPost stage.
I have fixed the issue in our database, you can now re-upload the correct image for your project. I'll get the image removed button added as soon as I can.
Apart from this bad experience, I hope you found the rest of the system worked quite well and I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished project.

HI Paul, this has been a really great idea, I think I'm going to learn a lot about my camera from this as well as everything else.
The only bug I've come across is when looking at the "latest 50 challenges" section and want to view a thread sadly I am unable to do that, I have been back a couple of times and clicked on various green boxes to no avail......(If someone has already mentioned this please accept my apologies).
This site just goes from strength to strength!!!!

You are not alone, I have had this notice as well. the one that I can remember was the £20 note and a iron, I kept getting a message saying that I was not allowed to view. But all the others were fine.

We had to move that thread to a protected area as Photo Phil found out that permission had to be gained first so to protect all parties, it was removed. I've now taken "Money" out of the theme list just in case for the future.
All the other View Thread links do work though.

Now I'm looking for a solution for that myself but I think I'm going to have to wait a very long time for retirement before time finally comes back on my side

Paul,
I have a question regarding 'rules' for uploaded images - do they have to be straight out of the camera? Or is some post-processing allowed?
My first (and only!) PP image is cropped, and I did tweak the colours and contrast a little .... am wondering if this is allowed or not? If not, I'm sorry :-(, if it's ok - then .... I'm happy :-D!!
Perhaps an extra choice embedded within the random criteria could be for straight-out-of-camera shots as opposed to 'processed'??

Hi Lenita, the usual 'rule' around here is that manipulation is fine, almost all of mine will be altered in some way and if I'm feeling adventurous a lot of ways lol.
To everybody that tried to view my moneyPP, sorry about the confusion, I should have been more carefull. When I couldn't view it myself I realized what I had done and Paul removed the whole project at my request. The photo's are deleted off my hard drive too.

I had thought about putting the extra option for "out of the camera" and "editing" but decided this would be too restrictive. If you send an image to a lab for printing, they may colour correct it so that would be manipulating the image. Edit as much as you like, if there is something you can do in photoshop etc. to improve colour, cropping then please do so as it's important to get result you are completely happy with.
