I've now added the ability to see the entry you have submitted into any of the competitions. Please see the attachment!

You can now not only see your entry but have confidence it has been received and has uploaded correctly.

Lol Paul, I just popped in to ask that very question.......I was worried in case the wrong file uploaded......could be embarressing

Hi Paul I have just tried to upload an image to the "little test" competition and I dont know if it has uploaded succesfully. I had a message to say I was not permitted to view images.

Can you confirm it has uploaded.?

There has been a little confusion when a photo is uploaded to a copmetition gallery. Once uploaded, you will get an error message saying that you do not have permission to view this image.

This is normal to keep all entries private. I have added the following information underneath the error message to make it a lot less confusing. Even i'm cofused

Additional text added to the no permission to view image error:

You do not have permission to view this image.

If this image has been submitted for one of our competitions, you will not be able to view the image via our gallery.

If you would like to see the image you have submitted to confirm we have received your entry without any problems, please click here to view the competitions and winners gallery page. You will find the link to your entry next to the competition title.

If you do experience any problems, please let us know in the Site Chat & Help forum.

We had a couple of teething problems when we hit the judging close stage and created the member vote poll options. This has been resolved and member votes are now open.

Thanks again to everyone who has helped with this test, it's been a great success from my end and your valuable feedback has helped to improve the system.

I have now added HighSlide to the photo thumbnails in the Competitions and Winners Gallery.

You will recognise this feature as it is already used in the gallery and forum image attachments which will zoom the image to the full size when clicking on it instead of going into another page where you have to hit the back button.

One of our competition rules will always say that there will be one entry per member per competition and up till now, it was possible to enter more than one photo. Measures are now in place to prevent the mistakes of multiple images being entered into a competition and will aid with the administration of each competition.

To upload to a competition, you must now use the link supplied in the announcement post. I will also be adding a direct link to the competition details in the Competition and Winners Gallery page for your convenience which will only be available during the open for entries stage.
