Recent images have raised a couple of questions and concerns so to keep things running smoothly, there has been a couple of updates to AutoPost and a new BBCode tag has been created.

AutoPost Changes
When choosing the People, Portraiture, Studio and Weddings critique forum to post an image into, you will now get an option to choose if this image contains nudity or not.

Selecting yes will automatically place the new BBCode below around the image so the image is hidden until you choose to view it.

HIDENUDITY BBCode
By placing [ hidenudity ] [ /hidenudity] around your image tags when linking to images, will make the image remain hidden until the member clicks on the Show Image button. When a member clicks on the button, they are warned the image may contain nudity and they need to be over the age of 18 to continue.

Example:
[hidenudity][IMG]http://www.phototopix.co.uk/images/santa.gif[/IMG][/hidenudity]

All images that contain nudity MUST be uploaded into our special Nudity gallery. You will NOT have access to this by default!

To apply to join this group, you must first go to your profile page. On the left navigation, click on Group Memberships then use the options available to join this group.

Alternatively you can follow this link: http://www.phototopix.co.uk/profile....editusergroups

Joining this group will allow you to view the Nudity category in the gallery and also upload to that category too!

Great concept and idea Paul, however it still shows the full image before going into the auto post/critique section. Also in the thumbnail stage. Is it possible to lock the images completely until the viewer decides he/she wishes to view?

This is what makes this site so different from all the others. Instead of just being told no you cant do that you guys try to find away around a problem to make this site usable for all. I take my hat off to you Paul...

Phil, you are completely right the images are still visible in the gallery. I overlooked that part

and thanks for pointing it out!

I'll have to have a good think about this one, my immediate thought would be this:

1.. We create a new gallery category for these images to uploaded into.
2.. We create a new "public" forum group that members can opt in to join using their profile options.
3.. Only members of this forum group can upload to the new gallery category and view the images as part of the gallery.

So what will this do? This will hide all images that contain nudity from the gallery but will be displayed to everyone who is a member of the new group. When viewing a thread that was Auto Posted and has the nudity option checked, people can still see the image regardless if they are in the new group or not but have to click the button to view it.

The above will hide the image from the gallery and still keep the current new feature working as is.

What do you guys think?

I for one think that this option will cover 'all' eventualities. We all know that it is not possible to please everyone, but by golly

(did I just say "by golly"?)

As always, it's the members that make the community and without suggestions and feedback we wouldn't even think about doing half the things we've done. It's really good so see things developing the way they are!
