To mark our 1st anniversary, we're really please to bring you a great new feature.

Our new Photo Challenge feature has been designed based on how competitions are run in the camera clubs across the UK including national organisations such as the WPF and PAGB with a few little twists to make it an interactive feature for our members.

When you enter a challenge, we are giving everyone a head start and you will automatically get 11 points just for entering. When judging has started, members can then choose up to 5 of their favourite images from the challenge and can leave a score between 1 and 20. When the challenge has finished, all the scores you receive are added up on top of the 11 points you already have and the winners are revealed with the winner scoring the most amount of points, 2nd next highest points etc.

You'll be able to see all the entries as they are added but the participators name remains anonymous until the challenge finishes.

You are now also able to leave feedback for each photo that you choose in your top 5 and when the challenge has finished, the feedback will be revealed. The feedback is also anonymous too so now there is no excuse even for the shy folks.

How do I get to it?

Clicking on Photo Challenges willto take you straight to the main Challenge page that will list all the upcoming, current and the last of the previously completed challenges so you can easily keep up to date with what is going on.

You'll also find a link to the Guide and to the Photo Challenge forum where you will see the Challenge posts and be able to have a chat about each challenge with all the other members.

In addition to the new navigation, you will now also see the active challenges on the homepage which will quickly show you what's coming up, open for entries and open for judging.

Last but not least, I'd like to say a very big THANK YOU to everyone who has taken part in the testing over the past week. Their help, feedback, nit picking and suggestions had greatly improved the new feature for everyone to enjoy.

The Photo Challenge feature will replace the old competition system and all the previous completed competitions have been made available in this new feature.

Hi Paul, A lot of websites do not allow photo's from your gallery or one that have ben posted in the forums, Is it the same here ?

Hi Allen, it's up to you. We hope that the challenge system will encourage members to go out and take photos for a challenge but if members already have a photo in their stock at home or already have an image here, there are no rules from preventing you to enter them as standard but there may be future challenges that have specific requirements and rules so it's best to check the challenge details and rules first.

Thank you Len but no rest for the wicked! The next new feature that member paulcookphotography suggested a while back is getting a development push and I hope to have some good news again by next weekend.

Enjoyed the testing... anytime you need a hand then i'm sure we're all only to happy to maybe lighten the load a little.

It's all looking pretty good Mate!!! a job well done as usual by your good self...

PS: Check your BANNER challenge it seems to have the CODE still in it and a couple of typo's (sorry still in nit-picking mode).
