Thanks for your reply Paul. I never could understand the reason for not posting something already on the site. I feel that people will reduce their postings hoping to keep a photo for a comp

Just my two penneth i see challenges as just that, its not much of a challenge for me to post an existing image or one already posted. My personal opinon i know but i deliberately go and have a go at the challenge, spent half day trying to find something yellow!

For me, it's all about encouraging members to go out and take more photos to get more experience and having a challenge the members will have a goal rather than wandering what to take a photo of. I'm often guilty of that one!

For myself, I love a challenge and to have a brief of the type of image that is required makes me more enthusiastic and enjoy knowing I've got what I went out to get but it's up to everyone how they use the challenges.

At the end of the day it's the members that will be judging and choosing the images they like and it really doesn't matter how or when the image was taken. It's purely a personal choice of the individual who submits the entry.

not all of us have that privilege tho mate, i will use my stock of photos so i can join in, and when i have the spare time (ie the missus lets me) i will shoot things ive been planning to shoot for a while, the next one for me is the 'tough guy challenge event' on the 25th, the rest of the time i'll be doing other stuff or stuck in the house with the missus LOL, taking the afternoon off to look for yellow things can be more trouble than its worth, it doesnt mean to say i wont try to take special pics for challenges at times but im not going to miss them out if i cant

i did say it was my personal opinion, i will however re-state its no challenge at all to ME PERSONALLY and i re-iterate ME to post images i have already took. We are all different and i have a lot of time weekends with the wife working most of the time. In the week totally different and i do my best. As long as we all feel happy with what we are doing no worries! chill!!!

and at the moment I couldn't do this ... yesterday made 3 pies .. two pumpkin and one apple pie .. Today .. doing the turkey, gravy, potatoes, yams, brussel sprouts, peas and carrots .. It's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada .. and there will be anywhere from 8 - 11 of us here for dinner. So ... going to enter a photo .. but one that I have taken recently and hope it's .. yellow enough .. lol ... Perhaps have time to pop back here tomorrow .... for a few minutes ..
Cheers
