Adding photos for Critique and Help: Using AutoPost

I have developed AutoPost specifically for PhotoTopix which bridges the gap between the gallery and forums when you're looking for Critique and/or Help. When you want to put your photos up for critique and get feedback from other members, this is now easily done with just a couple of clicks!

How does it work?
This is the easy bit, take a look at the following image:


You will see the above options on every photo that you have uploaded to the gallery and have not already subbed to our Critique and Help using AutoPost. Let me show you how simple this now makes things.

AutoPosting a Photo

• 1.. Enter the title of your post
  This will automatically be filled with the photo title or filename. Please try and use a short but descriptive title for the post and needs to 10 characters or more in length.
• 2.. Select the forum you would like to photo to be submitted too.
  This will be a full list of forums under our Critique & Help category. See the image below:
  
  
  
  
  
• 3.. Add a description or comments
  Now you need to add some comments about the image such as if there is something in particular you want feedback for etc. This also needs to be a minimum of 10 characters in length.
• 4.. Click on the big button
  OK now for the real easy bit! Once you are happy with your options, click that big on the right.

If you get something wrong when you enter the details, don't worry! We'll check the form for you for any obvious mistakes and warn you about them and on top of that you will still have a last chance before you post the photo.

Once your photo has been submitted, you will automatically be taken straight to the new post so you can see it there in your chosen forum just waiting for members comments.

If you do need to change your comments later, simply click on the posts edit button in the forum! Easy!

Gallery Comments
When you submit any of your photos using AutoPost and members have commented on them previously in the gallery, don't worry all the comments will automatically be added as replies to your post from the members who wrote them originally. Now that's what I call service!

Another little feature
Is there no stopping us! When you browse the gallery and look at all the excellent work that has been submitted by members, photos that the photographer has submitted for critique will be quite visible.


The above notification will tell you that it has been submitted by the photographer so simply click on the link [1] to take you there.

I would also like to extend my thanks to Alistair who has been a valuable contributor to this project during it's design, development and testing stages.

We sincerely hope you will find AutoPost a valuable addition to the site and hope you will see a lot more activity and members participation in this area that will get you valuable feedback and help your skills develop more quickly.

Please note: AutoPost will not be available until the 14th which is the deadline for the gallery comments system to be turned off.
