Question Paint Shop pro

Am I the only person in the world who uses PSP??? I'm wondering because everybody (photo magazines, forums etc) seem to focus on and cater more for photoshop...

I think it must be the way of the world. The bigger the hype the larger the following. Sorry to admit it but I use PS.
Cheers

I use Paint Shop Pro as I find that it does most of the things I want - I also have Photoshop elements, although a dated version.

I tried PSP and elements etc and found PSP easier to get on with and it does what I require.... having said that, the only thing it didn't dp particuarly well was HDR so I bought Photomatix for that!

I still use a very old version of PSP for most things it's far less resource intensive and gives a faster turnaround for me

Yup. PSP X2 and Photomatix for me as well. Plus a few other choice bits like Noise Ninja and Raw Therapee, which does a much better job of splitting the colour channels.

started with PS5.5 and never tried anything...using CS2 & 3 currently...guess i never gave it the time of day..or poss knew anyone who used it...it doesnt really matter what you use as they are all digital darkrooms and its what you display that matters..
I havent tried, but i can imagine there are plentiful video tutorials on the 'net for PSP as there is for PS

I use Paint Shop Pro. What Corel doesn't tell you, is that PSP doesn't work with GeForce graphics. If your installation just hangs with 1 second to go then you know that you've got GeForce and it isn't going to work. This seems to be true right up to the latest version of X2.

I did use it when I had the 350D but the version I have doesn't seem interested in loading raw files from my 40D :¬/

At the minute all I use is the bundled Canon RAW Processing app.
