Question Further education courses

Am considering taking a further education course in photography this Autumn. Mainly on photographic side but with some digital imaging as well.

Just wondering if any of you had done this type of course and whether you had found it helpful?

Pat

Hi Pat, I did a course last year, didn't learn a lot on the digital imaging, but on the photographic side learnt a lot on various items ie: depth of field, lighting, apature and so on. Go and enjoy yourself, it also shows what others are shooting.

Hi Pat,

There are so many options out there, it depends what kind of course you're looking at. I did a night course (C&G) years ago, which was a great introduction to black and white photography. There are countless technical courses available.

I'm now doing a degree in Wildlife Photography and there's a straight photography course at my college too. These aren't overly helpful in the technical stakes, but great for concepts, commercial, finding your own style etc.

If you find a good tutor and make sure the content of the course is relevant to what you want to learn, it can surely only be a good thing!

Nat

Go for it mate. we will always learn something helpful even if we think we know it all. You can't fail to learn something which in the end you will find helpful.
