First I want to say thanks to Paul and the judges for a very well run professional competition. Also Congratulations to all the finalists and winners on there excellent christmas photos.
Now I want to thank all the people who took the time to vote in the contest and to thank all those who voted for the Joy Of Christmas.
The Joy Of Christmas was created in a dim room using a 8 second exposure. Using the self timer to trip the camera. First the santa was left in the shot for about 1 second, and removed from the setup quickly, to leave a ghost like effect. Then the light on the snowman was light for about 1 second to so that the photo would not overexpose. To create the fire I used the clone tool to remove some of the light bulb and the smudge tool to create the fire effect. The stars were put in with the brush tool at different sizes and opacity.
Thanks Again Ken
