Challenge Description
Anything depicting anything eaten in any environment but lets see some creativity here!

Challenge Dates
Open for entries on: 26/12/2008
Judging start on: 30th December 2008
Judging and challenge ends: 02/01/2009 (Midnight)

General Rules

1. All images submitted must be your own work
2. Manipulation of an image is perfectly acceptable as is compositing.
3. By entering this challenge, you agree to a limited release to PhotoTopix to use your image in any media they see fit, for the sole purposes of promoting the site. If your image is chosen for site promotion, PhotoTopix will contact you to make you aware of the intentions and to obtain final agreement for your image to be used. As the photographer, you retain any copyright to your image.
4. Entrants under 16 must obtain written permission from a parent or guardian before entering.
5. It is the entrant`s responsibility to ensure that all the necessary permissions are obtained from people featured in a photograph where necessary
6. Entrants will be deemed to have understood the above rules and accepted them and agree to be bound to them when entering the challenge.
7. Phototopix reserves the right to cancel this challenge at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside its control.
8. If a winning entrant is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made to do so when a prize is available, Phototopix reserves the right to either offer the prize to the next best entry, or to re-offer the prize in any future challenge on phototopix.co.uk.

No losers on this one we even had joint 3rd! Well done Rob, i keep voting for the winner! Willie well done on being there again and me and Mary in there as well. Challenges are there to help us stretch our creativity and the weekend ones to make us take photos. Lets see some support for this great function in 2009! I doesnt matter whether you win or are worried about entering its just a fun thing.

I thought Tangoed was a good idea, and well executed. The only reason I keep winning is because not enough people enter. Why don't you enter?

I have a good excuse for not entering ...

.. it's called Christmas ... and family ...

.. people tend to run out of time at this time of the year ... I had a photo for the food one ..but when I went to post .. my internet provider/server .. or whatever they are called was down ... for a few hours .. and ran out of time.

I enter every challenge??? Dont understand your comment straight after mine??? Understand Elses reasons time plays a part.

I have just wont the banner challenge and only 2 of us entered at least twice each.

I just said not enough people are entering recently. I know you are regular, as are a few others. Perhaps people think it's too serious, or are worried about a low placing? I came near the bottom in one - it didn't bother me. As you said somewhere, it's only fun. I urge more people to enter - you won't improve unless you practise.

I have won, been 2nd, 3rd, mid table and rock bottom. They all tell me what works and what people like or dont like! Also the ones (not me) that win let me learn what others do that is popular and seen as good photography. You are right Rob we have circa 500 members and we have no more than 15 regulars having a go. Glad you cleared your comment as i really do put effort in and win or lose its the taking part and trying to think something new up to satisfy the criteria that is the fun part

Come on everyone lets see some entries in 2009!

Its not about equipment, technical excellence as we all get to judge there is no panel of experts or commitee. So have a go you might win!

Well done Rob, good image. But I must admit I did like the Tangoed shot which was very well thought out and very sharp.
