Hey Mr Smooth, if you pitch yourself just right, the product looks a million pounds then people will pay

Just to put you guys in the picture, clients yesterday picked up their 5 canvases, 3 frames, prints and album.... 4.5k.....that is the second time they have been to us..the money is out there, but you have to be good and the service is second to none..not being bigheaded here but we'd lose our jobs swiftly if we didnt deliver the shots.. the team is the best in the UK i feel

Bingo....
350 quid seems quite insignificant now doesn't it mate ?

One day chum....one day i'll command such prices. People will fall at my feet and lick the black stuff between my toes, and I shalt be called 'oh wise one' Buildings will crumble at my stare, oceans will evaporate at my touch, women by the thousands will hurl their soiled undergarments at my feet, moeny will become meaningless and my hair will re-grow in such copius amounts that I will look like some supreme 'Cousin It'
The sky will go black and the grass will uproot and run away from my wrath.....
OOoer.. one day. Meanwhile i'll just carry on as is, sinister plan held safely at the back of my mind

Want yer piccy taken ??

sorry dude if i came across all egotistical here....the point i was making was that people will pay for shots if they are looking and the tog delivers..which you have! and that is the exception to the rule there BTW not everyone spends that..

We get people come in for the freebies and end spending £100. that to use means alot as 100 notes is prob the earth to them..

and besides £350 for 7 mins + gossip time come on!! you KNOW you l'oreal sorry, you're worth it!

You never came across egotistical mate...I was just saying that my fee does not seem so steep now. You are a professional and working in an environment with overheads much higher than mine. You need constant work whereas mine can be very patchy. You provide an excellent service and are paid accordingly.

I am glad you made the point as I don't feel so guilty for taking the guys money. By all accounts he is not short of a few bob. He pulled up in an Audi R8 and they are not cheap. For the amount of time its good wedge. But my best money came from the early wine shots. Minimal work and really good money...silly money.

Cheers guys

I've looked at this image a few times now and one thing stands out for me. The expression on the guys face. He's trying really hard to pose and get the right look. I don't imagine this man has had many portraits done in his lifetime but for some reason at this point in his life he wanted one done and came to Andy. He was so keen to get the shot done he was willing to pay £350 and was pleased with the result. A very small amount when you think of the pleasure this guy got from seeing a portrait of himself he liked and will treasure. I hate photographs of myself so when I actually come across one I do like it's a big deal for me and I imagine it was the same for this guy. He wasn't smiling in the portrait but I bet he was when he saw the result. So job very well done Andy

Like the portrait, if he was smiling knowing the history of the guy wouldnt be right (for him). I will say if i didnt know his line of work as described maybe i would have thought differently On the money issue, who cares wish i could £3.50 for one of my photos.

Very Very nice mate...

Don't take this the wrong way but the reason i like this is because it looks like he walked in off the street and you went BOSH!!!

I know there's more to it than that, like knowing what your doing for starters, but it doesn't look to staged just clean and simple...

Only crit is that i would have liked the back eye a bit sharper.

It was a BOSH job mate.

His back eye is blurry in real life from when he was run over by a helicopter being flown by a yodelling monk called percy. By mistake (what are the chances!!) the monk had let daphne, his small and yet multi talented goldfish, have a go at the controls...well the daft glubber bounced it down premo style and nailed poor old Martin to the turf damaging his eye... The irony !!!
