Default My Boy in the Window

Photographers Comments
Taken at a wedding, my son got bored as kids do and was found stood here looking out the window, I have tried to adjust the contrast and brightness, I keep on praticing but not sure about the light through the window.

Nice photograph Julia. The light through the window is a little harsh and distracting but I still like it. Great composition

Hi Julia, i would have tried no flash, expose for the window (detail outside should have been clearer) then re-frame and then take the shot, would have been enough light maybe to get good natural light on his face. Nice shot anyway!

i like this, i think the mood of the capture here is more important than the technical side but i'm sure some of these clever folks will have some ideas

Hi Julia .. like the mood of the photo ..and can see where little ones would be very bored at a wedding .. it is too bad regarding the window .. and it being blown out .. but all in all a good candid photo ..
Cheers
Else

You have captured the boys expression very well. You can alter the window in PS using the Burn/Dodge tool or even change the window background all together. If you like I have a go.

Just a quick go to give you the general idea.
Picture 3:- Using the Burn tool, burn in the detail in window
Picture 2:- Add a slight reflection in window.
Picture 1:- Change view through window.

Hope this helps and gives you a few ideas, all the best Paul
