this is not for critiquing...I already know you are loving the leaves...hehe
I wasnt even intending of putting this up but I made a neat discovery last night, in post work, and decided to try it on a human face.
I was playing with an image of a little structure. Just for fun, I made a copy and turned it into a negative. Then i took the negative and layered it over the original. I used the feature, normal layering and pushed the scale up to about 15...cant explain it but I liked the result...so Ill be playing more with this idea.

Hi Faye, nice image but then you did start with a good subject! :¬) The effect you have used is contrast masking, a bit like dodging and burning but over the whole image - the negative image in black and white works to hold back bright areas and allow darker areas to show more detail.
