As an artistic shot I cannot crit it. It has a pure moment feel to it. There is no colour to detract, nor any crisp detail to take your eye away from the image subject. The blur and the soft look force yo to accept the image for what it is. As an artistic image I really like it. The crop is excellent and the conversion good.
From a technical and nit picky, 'non-artistic' point. There is camera shake, nothing is pin sharp. No detail in the eyes. Some consider this essential when shooting portraits of children. Areas of the finger and the towel are blown out and the hair in the middle of the forehead is kind of sharp and a bit distracting.
Two rivers of thought/opinion.
My heart says to ignore the technical side. The picture lends itself more to an artistic/feeling image rather than a recovery pic.The look you have could well have been intentional. I choose the artistic view because I do not want to dislike it because of technical details. I want to view it because I simply like it. To me its a good image.
Confused!? Don't be...
Thanks for posting
Looking forward to the next one
