Hi Maureen .. Love the capture and the way he is looking at you .. If you find that the flash is too much just put a coffee filter in front of it takes off a good part of the glare .. also a large piece of white construction paper works wonders .. My son showed me how to use it .. to help bounce the light back onto a object that I was shooting. I was told about coffee filters from another site.
Cheers
Else

I do agree with a little more light being put into the face either bia a white reflector ( a sheet of white card will do it ) or a teeney bit of flash.
Actually Maureen I can get hold of sheets and sheets of white plastic reflective material. They are flimsy but can be made into a reflector for natural/flash lighting. If you want some let me know and i'll send some up. For the whole they are clean and ready to use. Some need a wipe over.
Just an idea. i have used them myself to coat the floor of grooming parlours when I do canine portrait days. Also I have used them for reflectors that i don't mind getting damaged on location portraiture.
let me know chum

Thanks for looking TCO and for the positive feedback much appreciated. I'm always wary of using the onboard flash.
The offer of the white reflective sheets is very kind and if you really don't mind I'd really appreciate some. Thanks very much

Thanks for stopping by Else. Glad you like the photo
I always feel a bit wary of using my onboard flash. Do you use the coffee filters with the onboard flash?
