My nipper. First time posting in this section. Not very good at portraits but looking to learn.

Love the framing and the depth of field. Intense look is fantastic. For someone who does not shoot portraits this is a great start. If he had been looking at the lens then I would have been bowled over.
Wow! what eyes your lad has. Another reason to get him looking into the lens. Lovely and sharp in just the right areas.
This first stepping stone is a good and stable one IMO. Looking forward to progression and behind you all the way.

You are doing great. I am no authority on what makes a good image. I just really like what you are producing of late and feel I have to tell you. When someone has put in some effort...cares about what they are doing and comes up with the goods then they deserve recognition from other folk. It is too easy for pics to slip through the net and the image creator to get the wrong idea and think it was no good.
Looking forward to the next one chum.

I think you've done a great job here . I like that he's looking away from the camera , makes it a little different . I like the thoughtful far away look in the eyes . You've done a great job on the DOF .

Hi Maureen...as a mother I know how hard it is to get your kids to sit still let alone pose as beautifully as this. I wish i had a digi camera when my boys were small...then I had no idea what i was going to get out of my camera LOL

He is beautiful...put this one in a frame as soon as possible!!!

His far away look was focussed on a cartoon on the Disney channel. He wasn't the least bit interested in what his old mum was doing but he doesn't half fidget so had to grab the shot quick LOL
