i like the composition of this shot, lovely kids looking relaxed. but i'm not sure the effect that you've applied to it works.

Nice shot. good crop and cropped in the right places too.
soft (or diffuse) works sometimes but not always. i want to like this but its taking back to when the standard blue or brown was in and everyone used the softar on the 'blad. only thing i'd change is to make it brighter, seems dark. good work!

When I first set eyes on it mate I thought ...too soft. So I left it and made a point to come back.
Well, i'm back on it again and the initial crit was its too soft, yet again. So...now its ten mins later and i'm still looking and i'm no longer sure if it is too soft. I hate these kinds of images JUST because it makes me change my mind...makes me look harder and longer at the image.
Yes its soft but it draws you straight in to the pic..straight into the kids faces. Almost a surreal feel to it. Ok..enough is enough. I am leaving now on a 'i actually really like this' kind of note. Its a grower thats for sure. Looks like a classic huge print of family members that I have seen in larger houses over the years.
Does any of this make sense mate? I hope so
