Default recovery shot

Photographers Comments
Wrong WB setting and wrong ISO. Colour cast was reddy and the pic very washed out looking. Did some photoplopping to pull it back a bit. A bit yellowy now though mmethinks

Done a quick flash vid to show you what it was like before. Be patient while it loads...only a minute or so long but it'll take a while to load. Sorry about the music

Macromedia Flash (SWF) Movie Created by Camtasia Studio

here is the original. My fault I had everything set up wrong due to tiredness. Had to then try and simulate my usual lighting setup in photoshop. I'm so absent minded at times. Still a tad too yellow but i'll sort that later.

Good work pulling back the shot TCO. This is a beautiful image of you and your son one to treasure always. Great work getting him to look at the camera. The eye contact is lovely. A shot to be very proud of

Merv mate its just the time lapse that makes it look so busy. It was a very simple session with photoshop. Nothing complicated at all. From what I can see you are doing just fine buddy. Its always better to try and get the results out of the camera. P/shop is a great tool but over the years has made me a bit lazy when pressing the shutter.

It's the stuff you did cleaning up the skin, I'd end up with hard edges. You did a good job getting rid of the background too.

Have a look at this mate

Lunacore Photoshop Training - Smooth Skin tutorial (part 1/2)

Google 'skin smoothing photoshop' and you'll find a load more. When you use the method from the above link a few times, you'll speed right up and it becomes second nature.
