Are these two ex-hippies? I was thinking of the tie-dye backdrop. Groovy, man. There's a lot of red in that backdrop, it may have thrown out the WB on their skin tones. A more neutral colour may have suited better.

Hi Paul, again a closer crop would have helped to loose the arm at the bottom. One other thing that does help is the clothing, there are some good guides regarding clothes across the net. The spots and stripes with the background make it a little too busy for me but that's only my opinion.

I hope Andy will be able to offer advice on cloths as he does this for a living.

I'm still learning too and need to get a lot more portrait practice in. I'm off to find those guides as I need to re-read them myself to make sure my aging brain takes it in again and absorbs it

I'll post them for you when I find them.

Here are a couple of links that you may find useful:

What To Wear for Portraits Ottawa Photographer

“Does my bum look big in this?” - What Clothes to Wear in Portraits

What to Wear for Your Portrait

There are lots of similar pages on the net from other photographers but they all pretty much say the same thing.

Hope this helps.
