This looks pretty good to me mate but I think the lady next to the "old homeless looking guy" has parts of her face blown out. Keep practicing. Like me one day we may get there.
Cheers

did you use flash on this? or natural light? as it seems a bit unbalance hot in the middle losing power at the edges

Hi xp1, thanks for your comments, I had been doing plenty of practicing, started to get the hand of it now.
Brought a DVD about Studio Portrait Lighting with Joe Craig, found it very useful.

Yes, used two flashes on this, this was one of my first attempts and play with the equipment, getting there slowly.

Thank you both for your comments, very much appreciated.
All the best
Paul.

Hi Again Paul,
Do you use Photoshop ??. I find that there is,nt much that you cannot correct using PS. Some say it is cheating but I say its enhancement. I have paid lots of money out for every thing Photoshop (books,DVDs etc) I have the full set of total training DVDs covering CS2 and are pretty much redundant to me now.. You can get carried away if you are not careful. I must have at least fifteen books about Photoshop all covering different aspects of the program. I have also just paid £16 for a book about the canon eos400d which I have just purchased. I am waffling now arn't I.
Cheers

how was it set up? on stands with umbrellas, if not you will find they help enormously, i have 2 manfrotto stands with wescott umbrellas (very small when taken down 67cm x 21cm) but it distributes the light great.

Another trick is if you have a zoom function (Nikon's name for it) you can spread the flash. I have been studying this subject for a few months now, so if you want to chat about it please do, a great website for this is Strobist

I had two flashes one with a white umbrella and the other with a soft box, but after do a bit of reading I
had them in the wrong places. I have been doing a bit more testing with them and I am pleased with the results. Using the soft box as the main bouncing of a reflector and the second one to light up the background. back hair etc. Will be playing around with my other flashes next, just got 3 x SB800 with the extra power packs. Thanks for that site, have looked at it before, very useful .
All the best Paul
