lovely image, the eyes are great. Only thing I would say is if it was my photo I would crop in a little tighter getting rid of space above his head and on the right to focus more attention on your grandson. Bet you are proud of him.

Oh yeah, he's adorable. I bet you two had some fun together. Great expression on his face.
I find the background a bit distracting around the right of his head.
I do like the off centre effect of your composition though. Especially when the background is fairly neutral. DOF is just right.

I like the framing on this one, usually i would have also said go for a crop but i don't mind this one at all.The middle of his forehead looks slightly blown out though maybe try it a touch darker???......

Great shot Else.....I don't mind the crop either. The blow out on his head isn't too bad considering the on camera flash criteria.... I bet you used your trick!!! But as Steve says that can be sorted in PS.
How lucky you are that he would model for you, I know my 15yr old son wouldn't be in to that lol

Hi Christine, Debbie, Steve, Philippa and Diane,
Thank you for all of your comments and advice .. Yes I did use the coffee filter over the flash ..lol .. and had to blur the BG more then it was ... He stops by every day after school at our home to do his homework then we take him home. He was ready to head out the door .. and I'm saying .. Please can I take your photo .. lol .. ok Grams he says ..lol .. I think I took about 5 different photos. He really is a wonderful person. I will work on it as see how I do with the edit .
