Hi Andy, I would mono it and blur slightly reducing the contrast also which helps it to look a little more aged, great shot though - looks handcoloured the way you have it.

I'm not sure about it having a 20's/30's look to it. I would say this looks more like late 40's early 50's. Fortunately, thats my favourite era! I absolutely love the work in this. There is just enough there to transform it from the norm without going overboard. Very, very impressive!
