I totally love your shots mate, you know this.
But... this one does nothing for me i'm afraid. Hotspots on nose and forehead are not too flattering. The hair looks a bit untidy and the mascara has not been applied particularly well.
I do like the detail in the eye itself. That is really good. But the rest of the image is not up to your usual standard of excellence.
For the likes of myself it would be a good image but you are a few rungs further up the ladder with portraiture work and this kind of shot. There is a compliment in there somewhere bud.

Striking image, and the eye detail is good. I would never have noticed the mascara, but I do notice the hot spots and that little patch along her bottom jaw line where her neck is just showing which looks ... "out of place" if that makes sense.

Hi Andy .. Hope you don't mind me jumping in with both feet .. I am a newbie .. but the first thing that I noticed was the excellent detail in the eye and the lovely catchlight then noticed the hotspots on her forehead and nose . .. didn't know they were called that .. .. then when I read the other comments really had a good look .. and even noticed that there was a blowout/hotspot on the top of her lip line. ... Whoever she is .. she has a lovely face .. Thanks for sharing ..
Cheers
Else

Thanks guys, I appreciate your comments - I got wrapped up in the eye thing which is the key part of the image and did not even notice the hotspots so it will make me concentrate a bit more in future. cheers for that and thanks TCO for your compliments - you don't have to tread so carefully with the 'buts' you wont offend me - constructive critisism is the best way to learn and develop.
Cheers mate!
