Fabulous eyes Alex, she is a very pretty girl. I think the crop is a teeney bit tight but if it were to be opened up a bit it would have to be on both left, right and bottom edges. This is because if you were just to include more space to the left it would throw her eyes further off centre and ruin this lovely portrait. The opening up suggestion is because if this very frameable image was actually framed...you would lose a few millimetres around the image and the crop would be even tighter.
I like the conversion, nice and contrasty. No hotspots on the skin, nice even tones. The only other thing that i'm not keen on is the amount of noise in the background. Is it noise or texture of a wall/backdrop? A dab of noiseware would sort that out if you have it.
Crits all well intended mate. Lovely looking girl and I bet she is very happy indeed with the photo. Good work

Hi ALex, Got to agree with The Chocolate Orange here, great skin tones, good exposure etc.. BW conv is really good altho if she has great skin a colour would work just as well for different reasons. I also noted that the crop to the ear on the RHS is tight. i would either give a tad more or crop in gently a little more. having said that, the balance of skin/jumper at the bottom is just perfect

The crop thing is still fresh in my mind from the Nat and Zak shot mate. So its credit to you really that I noticed it with Alex's shot. Lovely image though

Hi gents, thank you for a constructive critique. Andy, the BG was a black wall speckled with something, I don't know what to do about it except do not use it as a BG again. Alex
