Mate this is masterful stuff. it shoes the very real human side of feelings and emotions with regards to our young against the backdrop of a harsh and often misunderstood lifestyle of tatoos and music. Really cool shot dude. lovin your dark BG stuff at the mo. It has the fell of natural light as well...

Hi Andy,
A great image here made up of so many opposites composed together to harmonise. The dark backdrop, menacing lighting, tattood and peirced pose of Maddog against the soft brighter lighting on the child, reflecting the innocence of youth. In a way it reminds me of Maddonna and child. (loving and protecting parent carrying the child into the light).
Maybe I would have liked to have seen a little more space above maddogs, but great none the less.

Looks like Maddog has already got a snarl.....bless him lol
The Madonna and Child analogy struck me too, what a stunning moment you have captured TCO......every thing looks perfect.
" as for space above re Phil, i would only equal the distance to the same as under his elbow"....I agree with this comment of Andy and Phil of course

This is a fantastic picture!!!
The two look to be at complete opposite ends of the the spectrum, but in everyway (lighting/composition/colour e.t.c) seem to come together in a perfect juxtopostion...a perfect example of how as the saying go's "it takes all sorts"
Up until now my FAV portrait had to be Becky (in the feathers)
but i'm affraid this surpasses it for me... (sorry Paul).
Enough blowing of smoke up the proverbial.....CRACKING SHOT.

Great shot mate,
Interesting take on the Spencer Rowell L'Enfant poster with obvious similarities but also huge differences.
