I really like the clothing!!..okay, so you look like the boy next door (squeeze cheeks). You look SO approachable and like someone that I wouldn't have to worry about being comfortable with...that is, if this is for portraiture (if not, ignore me) I have only met offish portrait photographers and after leaving their presence, is like running out of a dentist chair. If the expression is borderline, let us see another one (you are certainly good viewing). I like the cap, relaxed manner and positioning of the camera, though the elbow seems thickish (what do you mean, you didn't notice the hand?...lol)
So, can I be cheeky now?...either one likes to be pinched.

Point taken mate. I accept the white background comments. I just see so many of them I kinda got sick of them. I think I said this in an earlier post. I will do something with the arm in the next shot as well as the text. Cheers Barry.

It definately needs a bolder font to balance out the rest of the black in the image.

Just my rambling thoughts.

I'll smother myself in peanut butter and pose naked with a giant squid attached to my loins whilst yodelling yankee doodle dandy...seriously though Di...ta for the comments. They will be in the forefront of my mind when re-shooting.

Therapy? mate I did 3 years at her majesty's service...i'm 6ft 4 and weigh in at a friendly 16 stone, maybe that explains the sinister thing (wink wink).
You were bang on concerning the self timer...how the hell you knew that is beyond me.

I like to be pinched. Fay thanks for the comments.

I'm gonna ditch this one and re-shoot for sure.

I hate shooting myself...its not easy as many of you can appreciate. Its far easier shooting other folk. I am sincerely grateful for the input guys...you know I mean this and I love you all. Back to the drawing board.
Cheers and God bless....

Hi there Tco,

Well first up it's nice to get a face to Tco.........And I like what you've done. Nice and clean, and I like the grey background....a very good choice for printed material. Have to disagree with Phil tho (sorry) as I think that the font is just fine.

Shooting a picture of yourself, for your circular is a top idea.
I'm all for it.
The look....that's my problem, can't quite put my finger on it.
Not too bad, but just not quite right all at the same time.
Too puppy dog or a little too checky, but at the same time I wouldn't throw it away either.
If I were you......I would shoot a series of shots, all with the same grey background and cut the one of your choice and add it in to the final.
Oh! ahh! by the way I'll get you that tutoral on cut outs, especially hair cut outs, I just forgot to bring it with me.

Good luck with it Tco

Other than that i like it but then again what do i know????

Am doing my first proper shoot tomorrow so when i post some pics you can give me some grief (sorry helpful pointers)

PS: have got a thread going in the tecniques forum if you care to comment it would be grately appreciated....

Chevy Chase!?
Rather that than Shrek I suppose.
I may lose the signature thing all together mate. The missus says it is a bit cheesey.

I thought you may pick up on that one half donkey pint boy

I've been looking at this image for ages so here are my comments. As most people have already said that sig doesn't look right and not a good choice of font type. It really works against what you are trying to achieve!

Regarding your right side in shadow, I feel this needs to be a little more even as already commented on and I'm not 100% on the Chevy Case baseball hat. Sorry, had to make a reference

But saying the above, and coming from a corporate background with the little modifications made your image would tell me that you had a welcoming fresh image, your work would be modern and contemporary and above everything else you give me the vital first impression of someone that looks professional and can be trusted.

I think this is a great shot for what you described that you are looking for. The equipment there is simple for the shot and shows what you do. Your outfit comes across to as casual and comfortable. You facial expression is friendly, warm, fun to be with and confident. Someone that will be pleasant to work with. I think it is a great "magnet" image. I hope you do well with your project. Thanks for allowing me to speak freely!...Pat
