duuuuuude..? why aint you a millionaire yet..? gorgeous light. wonderful skin tones mates, really nice. cropped a touch too tight for me. give a touch more space around the arm and hands, the head can have more space or cut in slightly.. great none the less

The second is better for me, nice skin tones and having both sets of eyes looking straight at the camera. I'm sure that Mum and Toddler was very pleased with this image.

I'll go against the flow, I prefer the tighter crop as it feels more intimate. Good eye contact with both subjects and good focus on the eyes too. Lighting etc.. spot on.

good to be different and being more intimate is true as well however, technically it sits wrong with me with the hands being too close to the edge of the frame..also, when you come to frame that cuts in 1/4" all the way round, but its all moot as the shot, we all agree, is a gorgeous one by TCO

Superb portrait mate, I am getting more interested in portraiture and this is inspiring me to get on and do some. Wonderful lighting too, thats the key eh?
A minor point, if the skin above the vest (lower back of neck) had the highlight toned down I think tou would get better connection with mum's eyes as it is a slight distraction. Hope you don't mind me saying, just trying to help!

Cheers again all.
Dave, no problem with constructive crits mate. I gave it a bash in p/shop and it helped that little bit more as you suggested. Many thanks
