Nice candid shot.. Pretty colors and looks like the sky may be a little dark with clouds.. The blue pole must be a light pole..

Else, I immediately liked the paint effect, especially on the birds, people and walk. I'm finding that the composition of the straight lines of tree and poles in the middle of the image, quickly draws my eyes away from your subjects and my eyes swish right up throught the image and to the top. I find that this can be corrected by cropping more off the top, right down to below that black ball of twigs hanging off the tree, near the righthand side. It really causes the eye to rest and to take in much more of the detailing of your subjects. Such an interesting setting..reminds me of a French painting...so did the grandfather stick his tongue out at you?

Hi BW .... yes it was windy and threatening to rain .. and the blue pole is a light pole ...
Hi Fay .. yes thought that the painted look was good for this .. but I don't think how much I crop this .. it will do any good .. with the blue light pole in there .. it's too bad I couldn't clone it out .. but tooooo big of a job... then a crop might work ... No .. have printed this out and keeping it in the car .. so if I happen to see this grandfather again .. will give it to him.. Thanks for your comments and visit..
Cheers
Else
