Up to this point i saw tone mapping ( smae as HDR right ?) as a gimmick, and i dont like the light toned images it creates, but this is way different, im really impressed. Might have to give it a go one day. Great work.

Superb image Rog, great impact. I too associate tone mapping with HDR, is that what this is? Anyway it really works, well done!

Thanks all and yes it is Dave. I used the Photoshop plug-in that comes with the stand alone Photomatix program.

I'm so pleased too as I was awarded an "Editiors Choice" award form Peter Bargh on Ephotozine which is my first and quite an honour for me.
