Nice timing to capture the smoke screen...I especially like the POV and placement of the figures leaving room in front of them. The smoke does a good job of hiding the distraction of the crowd behind the scene. Looks like the second marks man has lost sight of the target with the closed eyes and head turned away from the blast...

Thanks Judy, should have said something about the 2nd person in my comments, as this happened the commentator mentioned this, and apparently with the forced enlisted men, they really didnt want any injuries, and eye injuries were welcomed by the field medic with some real grotesque treatments, so avoiding them was paramount LOL.

Hi Ric .. I like this .. and yes that is the first thing that I had noticed was the person turned away .. and thinking .. I would probably do that as well .. think that they would give them protective eye wear ... Must of been lots of terrible eye injuries years ago. ...
Cheers

Really like this photo. It looks like the first man shot early. Good color and DOF.

I sure like this...put a smile on my face. I agree with what Judy said. You did well to get some detailing out of the dark pants
