Abstract in a way. Profound use of the 17mm end of a zoom. Eyes popped superbly, maybe a tad big (lens or liquify?) and I totally adore the way the colour has gone. The hat is cropped...who gives a stuff. Its about that face..and those eyes! The whole thing says POW!!!!
Its a natural moment enhanced in an off the wall way and I flippin love it.
The highlights in the face are pushed to the max but no blowout. Saturation has been dampened in the rest of the pic either by choice or by lucky chance. Who cares. I really like this. Its a personal thing. I am a dad and I see this...and you my friend have captured it.
The ball plops gently into the hole...a winner for me.

As TCO said, those eyes have really popped in this shot. You could use these in a comp .

Brilliant, this is quite comical due to the wide angle but is perfect due to the eyes being so sharp. This would be a great line to do for kids in portraiture shoot ;-)
Well done....and do some more for us ;-)

Cheers Else, my Mum had to use the biscuit as a bribe but not for the photo, I just grabbed the moment.

Thanks Toby, not sure how well I'd get on as a kids portrait guy, could be worth a look though nothing to lose eh?
I'm just wide angle mad at the mo, I know it's unconventional but I don't care

Great use of a wide angle lens, and you are automatically drawn to the Eyes, very good detail.
