made from a original photo of my daughter, picture turned to dark sepia duo tone, the history brush tool used to add colour back, spot removal for blemishes, then a mask and Gaussian blur added to soften the image. Click to toggle zoom ![]() |

I think it would be improved with the colour removed from her lips. The eyes have it!

I have to admit, the colour in this shot doesnt do it for me either, lips or eyes, ...I understand why some people put names on their images, but this distracts me quite a bit this one..

I can't say too much technically as I don't do portraits. But I've spent some time looking at this and it just seems to have too much artifice - what the boys would call 'over-engineered'. You can't beat a simple good-quality portrait.
