We're about to go out for a mods and rockers themed Birthday Party.
Just grabbed a couple shots while the light was still set up, only got one working so it needs fill but no time to grab a mirror or anything.

first one my fav....its the outfit and the comp etc... the expression and the fact the face is not overpowered but the outfit.

Yeah I like the first one too, mainly for the expression - cheeky but Vicki prefers the last.
I rushed them up and don't like the 2nd and 3rd now.

The last is good because its personal. This is not a crit thread so i will say no more. Not that there are any crits just observations

If you want to offer some then go for it buddy.
TBH I struggled with this, more that perhaps I should have with what I have planned for myself, so go for it.

I must admit, I also find it very difficult to reply in some of these 'Photo Sharing' threads, and not to try and crit.

Ok, the reason I "shared" the pictures rather than put them up for crit is...

It was a very quick job, Vicki did her hair off an internet tutorial and wanted a photo of it, so I told her we'd do it when she was ready to leave.

The softbox was already downstairs, usually it's packed away in the back bedroom, but I brought it down to help with some of the macro stuff John and I were doing.

I only have one light, the other has been repaired but needs a £40 bulb which is currently low on my lit of priorities. Usually I'll grab a mirror for some fill but there really was no time for messing about.

The flash white balance setting on my camera doesn't match my crappy light, so they're all too warm.

Vicki's hair was grabbing the focus point and moving it forward of her eye but I was shooting with speed in mind, so didn't bother sorting a workaround.

They're straight out of the cam (well lightroom web export). So no attention paid to skin or eyes or anything else for that matter.

EXIF tells me that we spent 8 minutes doing this, start to finish. The only likely destination for these pictures is facebook but that seemed a bit of a waste.
With a list of faults that long, faults I know about but didn't rectify then putting them in the crit section would have been pointless. However Tco is about 15 years ahead of me in this area and I'm sure he knows everything I just said just by reading my first post.

Of course when I get found out putting Vicki's skin on't interweb untouched my life will be in dnger anyway and any advice may fall on dead ears

First one for me. Very nice. Balanced subject. I like the fact she is not looking in the cam because it adds importance to the outfit. I am not saying anything about hair because I have none.
