Default For Paul...

Photographers Comments
Paul this is what I keep getting now.

It may be obvious but I am seriously lacking in sleep and not seeing it.

That doesn't look good mate, take a look at the following:

avgw.exe is not a valid win32 application - SWI Forums

There is a bit to read but jedi has posted a number of possible fixes.

Hi TCO,
Uninstall all your spyware etc and reload (Reccomended)1st.
There is a security feature in Windows called (DEP) for short.
If re-installing does not fix the problem then try this:

1. Go to Control Panel and choose System.

2. Switch to Advanced tab

3.Click the Settings button in the Performance section.

4.Select the Data Execution Prevention tab and select this option:

Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.

5. Click Add.

6. Select the program that would not launch and click Open.

Windows will display a warning message, so click OK to this.

7. lick OK to confirm your changes.

DEP will now allow this program to run. Just repeat the above for all the other progs. If this does not work on your first program then go through the steps again and select the program and click remove.
If all your protection programs are in the same folder you may get these sort of problems.

Try downloading AVG and reinstalling.
Cheers

Cheers guys.
Shortly after posting the pic my internet failed. Did an ipconfig and all connections had gone. Then one by one applications corrupted. Had to re-install windows.
Thanks again. I still can't see how this is happening. I am protected up to the nuts and not downloaded for ages. Anything i do is scanned as well.
Paul, XP1, donkey dude...thanks for the help.

UPDATE!

Its the Bagle worm that is causing all the grief. It has been installed FROM THIS IP to a date activated hidden folder. How the bloody hell do they do that!!!??? A folder called 'FU2' was detected in the system by one of the many progs I have used today to clean this crap up. Unfortunately unable to remove at this time. i have posted a HiJackThis log to some of the techie forums and hope something will surface.
Thanks again to you guys who offered up help.
