Short Photo Quizz

A series of images which describe a location with special significance. I might give some text clues, I may even say whether you are getting warm, cold etc but I think I'll just start off with a relevant piccy. You can ask questions and I might or might not answer but where I do it is likely to be cryptic ..... cos I'm like that ....... I'm also a bit cruel so I may lead you off on a red herring (BTW red herrings do not play a significant part in this quizz ... or do they? )

Right lets go for a complete stab in the dark Beach/water??? so i'll guess it's normandie and it's significance was that operation OVERLORD was, and i pressume still is the largest seaborne invasion ever...??????

And if that's right i'll eat my hat(then again my panama is a bit big)HAHA......

Hmmm, well I have seen that guy before, and there is a beach there too.
I was thinking closer to your location, but could it be?
Is it Portmeirion, where The Prisoner was filmed? That has a certain significance to some people.
