What you guys are describing, really is a true phenomena...but not quite that mechanical---much more gradual and insidious and actually works in the reverse....there is a name for it...SHORT TERM MEMORY...Those over 50, know what I am talking about

To answer Paul's question; you would not know. Like when I ask my mother for one of her recipes that she prepared thousands of times. She tells me she has nevr heard of the dish; much less prepared it so how could she have a recipe for it. It leaves me looking like an idiot.

mums recipes are secret and should be handled with care! mine all written in a secret book that the kids can have when they bump me off
although there will be a fight for the camera gear so i may leave it all to my cat
