I voted NO, because thats the truth lol.
But I wish I had, I feel so far behind. I am not anti film, but I'll be glad when it's irrelevant because I won't feel like a numpty!

I own two (greedy) Olympus OM1s. I feel like David Bailey whenever I just pick one up. Unfortunately, compared to digital, the pictures are never all that great. I shall just have to eek out my days fondling the OM1s!

LOL of course.
The latest is the F6 I think.
And I think Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and co. used them in a studio, sorry I mean on the moon *cough*.

Ok, so dare I open the question........
Is 35mm film better than digital?
I am not 100% convinced either way yet, and have yet to decide. But I like the convenience of digital although I am still getting used to it, so some of my old 35mm photos are still much better.
To open the debate even further, does anyone own or use large or medium format cameras, if so how do you think these compare in image quality with digital.

This one could run...
I think it will be very difficult for the smaller sensors in DSLR's to ever match 35mm in terms of image quality (1.5x and 1.6x crop). You're just trying to cram too much information in a small space and often when you go above 6MP you stretch the lens to it's limit of resolution.
I would be interested if the "full frame" shooters on here could do a comparison, I suspect Paul, Genese and the Andy's have 35mm gear (I think the Andy's shoot full frame Canon?) Paul's first D3 picture had masses of apparent quality, sort of like an "X-factor" it just looks better.
Medium and large format will trounce anything for quality, medium format digital backs are silly money.
Maybe you should start a new thread.
