35mm film cameras

I started with a Canon AE1 which I used and loved for 20 years till it finally gave up and wouldn't work anymore. I then moved to a Pentax ZX7 which I also had fun with.
I held on to film for as long as I could, but found the cost too great as I was taking more and more pictures and going through tons of film and processing. Then once I decided to move to digital, I bought my Nikon D50 and have had so much fun with it. I can't see myself ever going back to film cameras.

I would be interested if the "full frame" shooters on here could do a comparison, I suspect Paul, Genese and the Andy's have 35mm gear (I think the Andy's shoot full frame Canon?) Paul's first D3 picture had masses of apparent quality, sort of like an "X-factor" it just looks better.
Medium and large format will trounce anything for quality, medium format digital backs are silly money.

The 5D is a great camera ... i could never go back to a camera with a 1.6 crop factor.. but then i shoot mainly landscapes and portraits which is what the 5D was made for.. when it comes to wildlife you do miss the crop factor but thats what 400mm lenses are for

the other great thing about the 5D and the mrk lll etc is they are in my opinion completely different to the lower end cameras.. they are made for versatility and creativity, i used to shoot in film and still do for b&w at times and with the right equipment there is no reason why you cant reach the quality of film.. its just down to the processing.

Started off with an olympus om1N then a mamiya C330 TLR...two T90's..an AE1..then an RB67 (outstanding camera) Then on to digital after a few years break. Mixed bag really. Miss lots about film cams but love digital too.

Yes I started with 35mm. And used colour reversal exculsively.
Still do.
At a later stage I purchased a Hasselblad, and still have it.
And still use it as a back up for my borrowed Fuji S2

I still prefer to use the Hasselblad even tho I receive a lot of flack from both Models and especially from other Photographers.
Things like.....will the pictures come out in colour?
Or....hell! still using a film Camera? (very common from Canon DSLR users)

That Hasselblad has never missed a beat........But the Fuji which is only about 3 or 4 years old, one dial has aleady broken plus the main switch is now faulty. This Camera is manufactured by Nikon by the way not Fuji.

Used film.....still do.
