Nice one Trev, looking at the Exif data did you use extension tubes? 285mm focal length is very long for a normal macro shot of this closeness. I have found switching to Aperture priority gives more control over the DOF. When doing Macro this close i find you need a smaller aperture to get all the subject in focus use a tripod remote release and say f7-9. Nice shot though mate. Lovely framing and colour.

Nice image Trevor. I like the graduated lighting mate. It works with this shot. If you find that you do want more light in pics where it needs it, then a tiny pocket mirror placed below will throw light back at the lower areas when shooting close in.
The only crit mate i would like to see more at the bottom. Super image
