Ah! I see you have caught Stackitis - nasty disease. You will spend the rest of your days bent over the camera squinting at manual focus impossibilities.
Nice shot, and very unusual subject. I like it! The DOF works well. It reminds me of a fleet of submarines berthed at their moorings. Good stuff, my boy.

You aint kidding Mr R! you take all the shots (manual focus of course with micro-adjustments between shots) combine them, then find one bit is out of focus!! This (first go i accept) took an hour and half to get one result i was happy with. However i have found a new angle to my photography with Macro it is good fun. Dont know how you did your flower, it is more delicate than rawlplugs!! Thanks for the comments anyway.

Nice simple idea for a macro subject, works well. I would personally rotate it 45 degrees as I feel may give it a more abstract look.
Great macro though.

Guy/Bev thanks for the comments, trialling a programme that stacks images when you are extremely close to the subject and get very narrow DOF. you have to take all the shots without the camera moving and make micro adjustments to the focus manually between shots and then you combine all the images to give one in focus image. Cant see it working for wildlife though they wouldnt stay still! This was very much a technique practice rather than about the subject.
Bev thanks for the comments, you got me into this Macro lark!
