In this little valley we have what looks like glorified dandilion seedballs; one of my favorite subjects to shoot. The season has just begun and it will go right til freeze up. This was shot in full light, so experimented and quite like the result, which was a delightful surprise

A while ago I tried to capture a very similar looking image .. but the wind would keep blowing ...

Hi Fay .. can see where I would be fascinated by these seed heads ... like how the light is shining off the heads love the colours .. they are shades of gold ... ... Thanks for sharing another wonderful macro ...

Works for me! Love the way you are drawn into the image from the stems onto the seed heads. Colour works great too.

Thank you gentlemen....I was thinking that the way the thumbnail was so dark, it wouldn't draw anyone in. Thanks for commenting, it helps to know if the picture is having the same effect on more than one person.

I like the darkness here, the slant of the seed balls making One feel the Wind from the West. Nice and simple complimentary frame.
POV is good here ... now back on Your Feet and shake the Seeds from Your Hair. *salute*

It almost looks like they are in some kind of underwater current, being gracefully persuaded to sway that way.
