I picked this rose from my garden and put it into an old ink bottle.....I liked the natural light and felt it had an Olde Worlde feel.

Very nice too Di, i like the natural light as well it shows through the translucent leaves (big word for me and no booze yet). would you have eliminated the shadow on the top leaf if you moved around right a bit? It is a nice colour, makes a change from red, pink, yellow

love the ink bottle idea!!!...really adds feeling. I don't know how to help you but I get the feeling that the balance is off..feels heavy on the right side. This takes me back to a phase I had, back in my sewing days, I used alot of this color...there is something gracious (for lack of a better word..maybe Dennis could help me) about that color.

I'm also impressed with "gracious" Fay and am off to find my thesaurus for future posts otherwise I'll never keep up with the two of you!!!

Half the time I'm not sure how to help myself, but I understand what you mean about the balance, I'm uncertain about what to do there. I didn't want to lose the ink bottle and leaf because I like those too., perhaps I'm being greedy and should look at it from another angle.....

I am going to rip the wifes knickers off later, after about 2hrs the elastic is murder at the top of my legs. Couldnt be a women, too much faffing about!!! I will try to keep up my artistic comments as you both seem to like them! Off round the pub now for a pint!
